Tekken 5Īfter defeating both his father Kazuya Mishima, and his grandfather Heihachi Mishima at the Hon-Maru after the conclusion of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, Jin flew off into the night, only to be awoken by a mysterious voice in a mountain forest, which appears to have been ravaged by a tornado. Jin drops Heihachi and tells him to "Thank my mother, Jun Kazama". Jin defeats Heihachi and then prepares to deliver a fatal blow to him, though he hesitates when he briefly witnesses a hallucination of his mother. As Jin prepared to leave Heihachi emerges and challenges him to a fight in an attempt to defeat him and take his Devil Gene. Yet Jin awoke in a rage and defeated Kazuya in a battle, knocking him unconscious. This would have triggered the Devil within Jin which at that point Kazuya would have then absorbed the Devil, making himself much more powerful. Although he took down waves of Tekken Force members he was eventually captured and taken to the Hon-Maru. Heihachi then walks away, only to be attacked by his grandson, who after being enraged by Heihachi's betrayal, had transformed into Devil Jin (due to the Devil Gene he inherited from Kazuya Mishima, Jin has a dormant devil within him) and attacked Heihachi, then flew off into the distance. As Jin struggles to get up, he is shot back down by Heihachi himself. Almost immediately after his victory, Jin is attacked by Heihachi's Tekken Force team.
